Okay, perhaps my recent living experiences made this movie uniquely entertaining for me, but I have to give Bend It Like Beckham at least five stars. It's *hysterical*, and occasionally moving, and has a soundtrack that reminds me of living in "sauf lun'nun" again (mix of Indian and British pop). The acting is delightful, the pacing is good, and you don't have to understand football to understand the movie. Jonathan Rhys Meyers is excellent, and it was overall a completely worthwhile film. Go see it.

That said, I'm at work on a Sunday. Bleah. Nuf said.
