The wedding was lovely. The bride was radiant, the groom was dashing, the minister was vastly entertaining (nice job, Falcone!) The dress was stunning, and the white Doc Maarten mary-janes really made the outfit. Tracie looked stunning in lavender silk, and the dark red roses made lovely flowers (especially petals sprinkled all around the cake and buffet tables). Even Jimmy managed not to drop the rings or anything.

The ceremony was sweet (despite Kevin front & center during the procession...) and blissfully short. The snackerels were nice (although the picture-taking went on for something like ever....) and the beers were good and plentiful. The cake (made by Seonaid) was wonderful - vanilla & chocolate layers with raspberry puree in between and gorgeous icing. Yum.

But mostly it was good to see people.

So many people from various segments of our social mega-group came out for this, and a number of people I hadn't gotten to see since I got back from the UK. These sorts of occasions are great for visiting and just schmoozing, everyone was in a good mood and the weather cooperated. What more could anyone ask?
